Citizens are encouraged to contact Grandview Police Department at 509-882-2000 for in-progress, public safety related calls. Please immediately report any dangerous animals within Grandview City limits.
Complaints are addressed in order of urgency. GPD prioritizes issues that pose a risk to public safety.
The City of Grandview does not have an arrangement with any outside entity for animal control patrol or response services.
The City of Grandview currently contracts with the Yakima Humane Society for emergency kennel space to house any animals that must be quarantined because of biting a human.
If you have an animal that you are concerned about, please contact the Yakima Humane Society at 509-457-6854. If they have space available they will take in abandoned animals, rehabilitate them and adopt them out to new owners. You may search their website for more information (https://yakimahumane.org/).

| All dogs over the age of six (6) months of age must be licensed if you live in the city limits of Grandview. Licenses are obtained at City Hall, 207 West Second Street. Dogs must be inoculated for rabies within the last three (3) years. Reminder letters for renewal of licenses are sent out each year on December 1. The following fee schedule applies: | ||

| No other animals require licenses within the City of Grandview, but there are restrictions for livestock (i.e. goats, chickens, etc).
