      The Grandview Police Department consists of highly trained and dedicated police officers, non-sworn personnel, and civilian volunteers. We are all committed to serving the citizens of Grandview with the highest standards of ethics, accountability, and professionalism.

      The Grandview Police Department is comprised of 18 sworn police officers, which include: The Chief of Police, Assistant Chief, (4) Sergeants, (1) Violent Crimes Detective, (1) Property Crimes Detective, (1) LEAD Narcotics Detective, and (9) general assignment Patrol Officers. Patrol strength is augmented by (6) reserve police officers. The department also employs (6) full time police dispatchers and (1) provisional, which includes some personnel specially trained as Corrections Officers. A newly hired Animal Control Officer is included in this department.  In addition to those mentioned above, we are fortunate to have (2) civilian volunteer workers who donate their time and are a great help in our mission.

      The Grandview Police Department performs many special functions in addition to normal patrol duties. Many of our officers are cross-trained to provide the highest level of competent service to the citizens in our community.  These topics of special note include, but are not limited to:

      The officers and personnel of the Grandview Police Department are dedicated to effective and efficient service to the citizens of the City of Grandview. We believe in a high degree of personal accountability and overall responsiveness to the community we serve. We believe in sustained partnerships with stakeholders in our community in order to achieve excellence through mutual cooperation.  We pledge:

            To work with all citizens to preserve and protect life and property;

            To maintain human rights by applying community norms and values to guide police actions

To become ever more responsive to community needs and priorities;

To work toward solving special problems that arise in the community; and

To share responsibilities for controlling crime by facilitating more positive police/citizen contact;

Each Grandview Police Department Member should:
