1  SWIM POOL RESERVE LIFEGUARD (SEASONAL/PART-TIME)

The City of Grandview is accepting applications for the position of Swim Pool Reserve Lifeguard (seasonal/part-time).  Current Lifeguarding, CPR for the PR and First Aid credentials are required.  Person is directly responsible to the Pool Manager.  Must be a strong swimmer and possess/demonstrate excellent life-savings skills/abilities.  Rate of pay is $8.67 per hour.

2.  SWIM POOL MANAGER AND ASSISTANT MANAGER (SEASONAL/PART-TIME)

The City of Grandview is accepting applications for the position of Swim Pool Manager and Assistant Manager (seasonal/part-time).  The Swim Pool Manager is the administrator of the overall municipal pool operation.   It is the responsibility of the manager to ensure the health and safety of all patrons that utilize the swimming pool facility. The manager is ultimately responsible for the scheduling and programming of the facility as well as the daily cleaning maintenance of the pool facility.

Applicant must be 18 years of age, possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, current First Aid and CPR/PR cards, current Lifeguarding card, and current Water Safety Instructor's card (desirable).  Applicant must be able to deal efficiently and tactfully with fellow employees and the general public to promote a positive public image.

Pay Scale: $8.67 - $13.50 per hour

3.  Library Director

The City of Grandview, Washington (pop. 9500) is seeking a progressive, collaborative, and dynamic individual with excellent communication skills to serve as its Library Director. The position is responsible for the management of the community library including budget preparation and oversight, supervision of personnel, book collection development, and community relations. In July 2011, the position will assume responsibility for serving as the Director of a new joint use library for the City of Grandview and Yakima Valley Community College (YVCC) located on the YVCC Grandview Campus.

Minimum qualifications include Master of Library Science degree from American Library Association accredited school, with previous experience in library administration, including supervisory experience.  Compensation is up to $4,791 monthly, plus an excellent benefit package.

4.  Temporary Library Page
